Rafael Nadal, one of the most renowned names when it comes to tennis, is all set to make a sensational comeback. The Spaniard has been out of court for months now. After a semi-final loss at the hands of Novak Djokovic at the French Open, he suffered an injury that restricted him from playing further. Since then, he has been in the recovery process.
But now, the time has finally come for the Spanish player to make a comeback and continue where he left off. The former world number 1 player will now feature in the World Tennis Championships, which will take place in Mubadala, Abu Dhabi. Rafa claims that he is excited to play in Abu Dhabi. He is also planning to prepare himself ahead of the Australian Open next year.
Rafael Nadal gives a message ahead of his comeback
Recently, the official Twitter handle of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship shared a short 13 seconds video that saw the 20-time grand slam winner conveying a special message to his fans. Rafa addressed that he was “very happy” to be back on the court and that he would love to see his fans”soon”.

“Hello everyone, Rafa here, I am very happy to be back at the Mubadala World Tennis Championships in Abu Dhabi,” Nadal said. “I hope to see you there.” Not only this, but the Mubadala tower was also lit up to announce the welcome of the game in Abu Dhabi.
The tower also portrayed the schedule ahead of the tournament with portraits of all the participating players. Rafael Nadal was also depicted on the tower. The Spaniard will begin his campaign on the second day of the tournament. The tournament will commence on the 16th of December with the finals being played 2 days later on the 18th.

As things stand, Rafael Nadal could either face Dominic Thiem or Andy Murray in his first encounter of the tournament. It will be interesting to see how he performs at the competition.
