Stephanie McMahon is one of the few names that don’t need any introduction in the pro wrestling industry. Despite no longer being a part of WWE, The Billion Dollar Princess is still a highly discussed personality. The reason being her long career in the Stamford-based promotion.
Even though Stephanie has done a lot of work behind the screen, she’s also known for her stint as an on-screen figure, especially her love angles. From Triple H to Kurt Angle, the 47-year-old has done romance with a lot of people. But a WWE legend had no interest in romancing with Vince McMahon’s daughter.
It was 52-year-old Rob Van Dam, who once revealed that he wasn’t interested in having a romance angle with her. The 6-foot-tall star shared it during a July 2023 episode of his podcast, “1 Of A Kind.”
He discussed the cancelled romantic storyline between him and the former WWE co-CEO. Doing so, he shared how the angle might have affected his real-life relationship, and that’s why he wasn’t comfortable doing it. RVD said, “I saw where the story was going and I was uncomfortable with it.” (Via- Wrestling Inc)
It must be noted that the storyline was pitched around 2001, and due to being in a relationship at that time, Rob didn’t want to to do it. The veteran disclosed how Stephanie tried to make him comfortable about the angle, but he wasn’t interested in doing something that could cause issues in his personal life.

It’s true that RVD was not interested in romancing with Triple H’s wife, but sometime things have been opposite. Similarly once Stephanie McMahon was uncomfortable romancing with 68-year-old WWE legend Eric Bischoff.
Eric revealed this in 2018 during his podcast, as he talked about his kiss with The Billion Dollar Princess. The incident took place back in 2002 on SmackDown, when Bischoff approached Stephanie wearing a Vince McMahon mask.
The female star was confused, and when he took off his mask, she went ahead to slap him. But the legend caught her, and they had a passionate kiss. Confessing his views about the segment, the veteran said that he was excited, but Stephanie was probably in discomfort.

Talking about the segment, he said, “Having [Vince] standing there directing the scene while I was making out with his daughter, I knew she didn’t want to do it.” Thus, Mr. McMahon’s was the probable reason why The Billion Dollar Princess was in discomfort. But even Kurt Angle had a similar experience due to the presence of WWE’s Executive Chairman.
