Kamaru Usman- Conor McGregor

The fans have been speculating what’s next for Kamaru Usman after the brutal KO win over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261. Does he continue to take on the welterweight contenders or he goes after a super fight in other weight classes most likely the middleweight division. Well, it seems Kamaru Usman has the best thing waiting for him in near future.

The biggest name in the sport of MMA, Conor McGregor issues a statement after UFC 261 that has the fans excited for a potential super fight. Conor Mcgregor believes that a run in the welterweight division is inevitable for him and he aims to teach Usman a lesson for copying his quotes, and now his shots.McGregor believes that Usman’s right cross is similar to his notorious left hand. McGregor stated on Twitter:

“Usman even copying my shots now. Am I to fight this guy at some stage? I think so. Can’t be copying my words and my shots and not get a smack for it. I like 170. It’s mine soon.”

Conor McGregor later doubles down his plans to return to welterweight and said: “I am a block at 170 guys. Give me till the end of the year at his 155 weight. I’ll get the strap and then I’ll go up again. After green fungus panties hahaha “cos any one of these fools can get it- Usman”

Conor McGregor takes on Dustin Poirier in a trilogy at UFC 264 in July. If Conor gets the win over Poirier then he is going to take on the winner of Michael Chandler vs Charles Oliveira for the UFC lightweight title. So it’s possible to see Conor fight again after UFC 264 if he wins the trilogy. But, underestimating Dustin Poirier is a huge mistake.

He has found the key to beat Conor McGregor and there is a big possibility that he will follow the same game plan and win the trilogy. But, Conor McGregor is a master at making adjustments in the rematches. He did the same in his rivalry against Nate Diaz. He is an intelligent fighter with tremendous striking skills. So it won’t be shocking at all if he completes his goals in the lightweight division and goes on a welterweight run next year.
