Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic or also known as the big three have been the best players in the sport of tennis for a long time.
The best part about this trio is that each of these players has been dominating the sport in a particular area such as Roger Federer in Wimbledon or Rafael Nadal’s supreme record on clay courts.
Nadal recently won his 14th French Open title and a 22nd Grand Slam title on Sunday after defeating Casper Rudd in the finals. He also defeated Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinal match on his road to victory.
Novak Djokovic has not had a good first half of the 2022 season, as he could not participate in the Australian Open due to the vaccine saga and crashed out of the French Open after a loss from Nadal.
His eyes would surely be on the Wimbledon now which is supposed to be held later this month.
The Big 3 described as Musical Instruments by Novak Djokovic
In a recent press conference, Novak Djokovic was asked about comparing each member of the big 3, to answer this question he stated,
“Roger Federer is a violin, I don’t think anyone has anything to say about it.”
“As for Rafael Nadal, I would associate it with an electric guitar or drums. I am a saxophone because it is an instrument that goes well with any type of music.”
He was even questioned about his aspirations to compete in the upcoming Australian Open, to which he said,
“I have heard the news that the government has changed, but I don’t know if my visa will be restored and if I will be allowed to return to Australia.”
“In 2023. In any case, I would like to play in the Australian Open. What happened is a thing of the past, I don’t hold a grudge.”
Well, we do not know the logic behind Novak Djokovic assigning these specific musical instruments to himself and the other two members of the big three.
The Big 3 have not been playing together in a tournament ever since the long injury bout faced by Roger Federer.
