Tyson Fury will defend his WBC heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte after Top Rank promoter Frank Warren broke the record for securing the highest ever fight purse bid in the history of boxing.
Ahead of this announcement, there was a lot of drama as both Whyte and Joshua were proposed a step aside deal to let Fury and Usyk compete for the undisputed heavyweight title bout. However, this deal broke down at the last hour and a mandatory fight between Fury and Whyte will take place now.
The Gypsy King last fought against Deontay Wilder in a highly anticipated trilogy fight in October last year. The WBC champion defended his belt after knocking out Wilder in spectacular fashion in the 11th round. Consequently, Fury has vowed to do something similar against his upcoming opponent Dillian Whyte.

Fury posted a video on Twitter in which he was preparing for this bout by going for an early morning run with his friends. While running Tyson made a bold claim that he will knock out Whyte in this title fight. “Dillian Whyte, I’m gonna knock you out sucker. You’re getting it you, Dosser.”
Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn who is the promoter of Dillian Whyte believes otherwise. He claimed in an interview with IFL TV that Whyte will knockout Fury.

Tyson Fury cannot wait to fight Dillian Whyte and promises to annihilate him
As mentioned earlier, that there was a lot of drama surrounding this bout as Dillian Whyte was unhappy with his share of the fight purse and it was unclear whether this bout would take place. However, now that the fight is confirmed, Tyson Fury is itching to get inside the ring and face Whyte.
Fury’s promoter Frank Warren posted a video on Twitter in which The Gypsy King sent a message to his British opponent and warned him to prepare hard for this bout.

“I can’t wait to punch Dillian Whyte’s face right in mate. I’m going to give him the best hiding he’s ever had in his life, boy. Dillian Whyte, train hard sucker ’cos you’re getting annihilated, bum.”
Tyson Fury is extremely confident as usual and has offered his early prediction for this fight. It is needless to say that this would be Dillian Whyte’s most difficult bout of his career. Therefore it would be interesting to see his preparations for this title matchup.
