Lakers star LeBron James has been in the limelight ever since he was a kid in high school getting ready to enter the NBA. One of the most hyped draft prospects of all time, it’s safe to say that LeBron is one of the few players who actually managed to live up to their enormous hype.
While we’ve witnessed his elite play on the court night after night over the last 20 years, what’s even more commendable is how he has managed to keep his public image clean throughout his career. LeBron’s a guy you never hear of in scandals, be they of any kind. But that changed in 2020 when out of the blue, he was accused of cheating on his wife with an Instagram model.
How long has LeBron James been married to Savannah James?
King James has been married for almost 10 years now, to high school sweetheart Savannah James. The couple got hitched in 2011 and then tied the knot on 14 September 2013. Over the years, the couple has turned out to be quite the role model for other athlete couples, staying almost squeaky clean publicly, with a few hiccups here and there.
One of those happened in 2020 when LeBron was accused of cheating on Savannah with an Instagram model. In May 2020, when the NBA season had come to a halt owing to COVID-19, LeBron still made the news after NFL star Nick Vanett’s girlfriend Ezra Haliti accused him of infidelity.
Ezra posted an Instagram story that read, “Am I the only one that’s not a fan of LeBron? I guess I’ve never been a fan of guys that cheat on their wives, especially with [sofiajamora].” She implied that LeBron had cheated on Savannah with 24-year-old IG model Sofia Jamora. This obviously got a lot of attention, pushing Sofia into the spotlight too.

Sofia eventually refuted the rumors though, via an Instagram DM which read, “1. I was never with LeBron nor do I know who he is. 2. I’m not white.” She was dating another NBA player Jaxson Hayes at the time, whom she eventually broke up with and sued for assault.

The accusation was as random as it gets and could have very well been an attempt at taking advantage of LeBron’s status. LeBron and his family never commented on the issue, maybe because they already knew that it had no truth to it and wasn’t worth their attention. The couple continues to live their happily married life, with three children Bryce, Bronny, and Zhuri, by their side.
