The Memphis Grizzlies are playing against the Dallas Mavericks tonight and it has been one of the much-awaited clashes in recent times. The fixture means that some of the biggest NBA stars could be in action tonight. The Mavericks are hosting the game at the American Airlines Center tonight and will be aiming to put on a show for their fans.
The Mavs lost their last two games and that certainly means their sole aim will be to get the win tonight. They are currently the 8th seed in the West and are hoping for some momentum to make it to the postseason.
The Grizzlies, on the other hand, are 3rd with 40 wins and 26 losses. Despite Ja Morant‘s absence, the Tennessee-based franchise has done quite well to keep up its form. Speaking of Morant, his suspension has been heavily talked about in recent times. Will he play against the Mavs tonight?
Ja Morant is out for the Memphis Grizzlies vs Dallas Mavericks game tonight
For those who don’t know, the Grizzlies franchise suspended Ja for at least two games. The reason for this was the fact that Morant flashed a gun on Instagram live. Ja apologized after the incident and mentioned that he would be taking some time away to reflect.
Ja Morant will remain away from Grizzlies for at least the next four games, team says.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported on March 8 that Ja will miss at least 4 games for the Grizzlies. This means he will continue to be on the sidelines for tonight’s game as well.
Apart from Ja, Steven Adams, another key player for the Grizzlies, will also miss tonight’s game. He has been dealing with a knee injury and the Grizzlies will re-evaluate him in four weeks.

Can the Grizzlies get the better of the Mavericks once again without Ja Morant?
The Grizzlies took the win in the last game against the Mavericks. Their defense wasn’t too troubled which wasn’t all that surprising considering Luka and Kyrie’s absence as well. Moreover, Mavs fans pointed the finger at Jason Kidd for the lack of game time he allotted to Christian Wood. It is not known whether Kidd is willing to start Wood for tonight’s game as well.
In the last game, the Grizzlies won the game 112-108. Desmond Bane and David Roddy were the standout performers for the team, with 25 and 24 points respectively. Although Jaren Jackson Jr. didn’t have the best of games, he still put up 14 points on the board. We can expect him to put up better numbers tonight, contributing to another Grizzlies win.
