The Memphis Grizzlies will be playing against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight. The Grizzlies have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently. When some of the Grizzlies’ players had an altercation with Shannon Sharpe during their game against the LA Lakers, it caused quite a stir. It was when Ja Morant’s father, Tee Morant, got involved too. Sharpe later apologized for his actions. Since then, the Grizzlies have gone on a losing run, but it looks like they have returned to winning ways recently.
The Grizzlies won their last game against the Indiana Pacers and have a record of 32-18 in the 2022-23 NBA season. The Trail Blazers, on the other hand, are coming off a win against the Atlanta Hawks. They haven’t been able to keep up a good winning momentum this season and will be aiming to do so with yet another win against the Grizzlies today.

Bane has been unlucky with a knee injury this year, especially when he has been putting in a shift for the Grizzlies at times. Steven Adams suffered a right knee PCL sprain and his return date remains a huge question mark.

Can Ja Morant lead the Grizzlies to a win against Damian Lillard and Co.?
Ja Morant will be crucial for the Grizzlies tonight. He has averaged 27.3 points, 8.2 assists, and 5.7 rebounds this year, being the standout player for the Memphis-based franchise. Steven Adams is the leader in rebounds for the Grizzlies this year, and his absence will be visible tonight. The Trail Blazers will be aiming to take advantage of this surely.
The last time these two teams faced in November 2022, Ja led his team to the win. He put up 20 points, along with 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Steven Adams also managed to put up a double-double, including 11 rebounds. This time around, the Grizzlies could still be the favorites even in his absence. They have a talented roster with Dillon Brooks, Jaren Jackson Jr., and the one and only Ja. Damian Lillard will once again have to help the Trail Blazers put up a good fight.
