Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat will be facing Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks tonight. As fans might be aware, the Heat and Knicks have matched up for the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Both teams managed to get to this position after the Heat eliminated the Bucks and the Knicks eliminated the Cavaliers.

Despite finishing this season as the 8th seed, Miami has a 3-2 lead on this series and looks to eliminate the Knicks in Game 6. However, that isn’t going to be a very easy task considering the level the Knicks have been playing at this season.

With that being said, let us take a look at the injury reports and expected rosters for Game 6 of the Heat-Knicks series. Additionally, we can also find out the expert predicitions for this game.

Jimmy Butler is listed as probable for Game 6 of Miami Heat vs New York Knicks

Playoff Jimmy has made an appearance yet again for his team this season and is a huge reason for them being in the position that they are in at the moment. He has elevated his play and carried his team past higher-seeded teams that were favored to win over them. Unfortunately, an ankle sprain injury has led to him being listed as probable for the Heat.

Miami had a 3-1 lead on this series and was expected to do so in Game 5. However, they were unable to do so and Butler ended up scoring only 19 points. Considering that his offensive numbers are much better in the postseason, we should expect a better performance in Game 6.

That is assuming that his ankle doesn’t bother him greatly. Even if Jimmy plays well, the Heat will have to play well cumulatively in order to close out this series in Miami. Now, here are the injury reports and expected rosters for this match.

Miami Heat injury report

  • Tyler Herro (out)
  • Victor Oladipo (out)
  • Caleb Martin (probable)
  • Jimmy Butler (probable)
  • Haywood Highsmith (probable)

Miami Heat expected roster

  • Kyle Lowry
  • Gabe Vincent
  • Max Strus
  • Jimmy Butler
  • Bam Adebayo

New York Knicks injury report

  • Jericho Sims (out)
  • Immanuel Quickley (doubtful)

New York Knicks expected roster

  • Jalen Brunson
  • Quentin Grimes
  • RJ Barrett
  • Julius Randle
  • Mitchell Robinson

As we can tell from the injury reports, there are a handful of players from each side who do not look completely healthy for Game 6. Nonetheless, the main stars from both sides are expected to play. Now, let us find out the expert predictions for this game.

The Heat are expected to eliminate the Knicks in Game 6

This has been quite an exciting series between two Eastern Conference teams that many fans didn’t expect to see in this position. Although the Knicks certainly have what it takes to secure a win in the face of elimination and force a Game 7, they won’t be expected to do so. Butler had an off night on the road and will look to end this series one and for all back at home. He has been the best player on the court for this series and is expected to dominate tonight.

While fans should remember that the Heat don’t have Tyler Herro or Victor Oladipo, the fact still remains that the Heat are a battle-tested team that has consistently made the Conference Finals over the past few years. They are expected to do so again by winning Game 6 tonight.
