The Philadelphia 76ers playing against the Boston Celtics at the Wells Fargo Center tonight. Last year’s finalists hold a 2-1 lead in the series, and it looks like they could manage to get another win tonight as well. The Sixers took the lead in Game 1, but Jayson Tatum and Co. have done quite well to win two in a row since then.
Joel Embiid’s absence has not helped the 76ers recently. He suffered a Grade 1 LCL sprain and was doubtful to feature in Game 1. Despite this, they managed to come out on top, with James Harden’s 45 points. Tyrese Maxey was also decent for the Sixers, scoring 26 points on the night. But since then, the Sixers have not been able to break down the Celtics even after Embiid’s return.
Joel Embiid remains questionable for the Philadelphia 76ers vs Boston Celtics game tonight
Despite featuring in the last game, Joel Embiid remains questionable for the game tonight. He was spotted wearing a knee brace during Game 3, and there is a huge chance that is the case for tonight as well.

Embiid – QUESTIONABLE #NBAPlayoffs— Bri Marie D (@BriMarieD) May 1, 2023
Embiid mentioned that he was not at his best after making a return in Game 2, but was glad that it was “out of the way.” He put in a shift in Game 3, with 30 points and 13 rebounds. But that was not enough for the 76ers to take the win. For the Boston Celtics, Danilo Gallinari is out of the race, while Blake Griffin and Marcus Smart are questionable to feature.

Can a wounded Joel Embiid help the Sixers tie the series tonight?
The 2022-23 MVP is on track to put in another good performance, even though he’s still suffering from a knee injury. The playoffs are what every NBA player looks forward to, and that means that injuries will not be enough to stop them from walking onto the court to represent their team. That has been the case with most of the players this year.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were the standout performers for the Celtics in the last game. They made 27 and 23 points respectively, but that was not all. Al Horford came in hot in the fourth quarter and helped the Celtics wrap it up, with the game ending 114 to 102. James Harden struggled with shooting after going on just 2/14.
But it could be predicted to be different tonight. With the game playing out at home, the Sixers have the advantage over Joe Mazzulla’s men. Embiid is once again expected to be the best player despite his injury. However, the Celtics will surely aim to put up a good fight with a superstar of their own in Tatum.
