The Philadelphia 76ers will be playing against the Dallas Mavericks. It would be the clash of the titans as we might be able to witness two great duos go up against each other. Kyrie Irving has been on fire since his blockbuster trade to Texas but the Mavs have not been able to translate his numbers into wins. They have a record of 1-4 when Kyrie and Luka Doncic start together.
The Sixers, on the other hand, had a good month recently. They won 7 games out of 11 and started March well with a triumph over the Miami Heat as well. They will aim to continue the form, but it all depends on the availability of their superstar.
Joel Embiid is probable for the Philadelphia 76ers vs Dallas Mavericks game tonight
The Sixers center did not play their last game against the Heat. He was listed as available but the franchise downgraded him to questionable at the last minute. However, despite that, Embiid could not feature for the team on the night. As per multiple reports, he is dealing with left foot soreness. His appearance remains a question mark. Embiid is probable and is likely to play tonight against the Mavs.

Pressure is on the Sixers this season as they are the only Philly-based franchise to have a chance of bringing home a title. This comes after the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl LVII loss. However, with Joel Embiid’s injury woes, the title might be far from the 76ers.

The Sixers might be slightly favored over the Mavs tonight
The Sixers are one of the strongest teams in the league this season, and they have enough firepower to beat the Mavs even without Embiid as well. The main reason for this would be the defensive loopholes that the Mavs have failed to address. The Kyrie trade was beneficial to them, but they prioritized getting a point guard back and a rotational player rather than a good defender.
The last time the Sixers and Mavs faced in March 2022, the former won the game 111-101. The Process managed to put up a double-double, which isn’t all that surprising considering his standards. Averaging 33.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists this season, Embiid is one of the few players in the MVP conversation.
