UFC 261 is in the books now and what a night it was. We saw some historic victories at Jacksonville. But, the knockout win of Kamaru Usman over Jorge Masvidal stands out from the rest.
Kamaru Usman shocked the world with the way he won the rematch against Jorge Masvidal. But, that’s what Usman has been doing in his last few fights. He knocked out Gilbert Burns, one of the toughest welterweights in the world, with jabs. He broke Colby Covington’s jaw and won the fight via TKO. And at UFC 261 he became the first person to knock out Jorge Masvidal, which almost seemed impossible going into the fight.
However, there is a controversy surrounding the UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. Many fans pointed out the black spots on the back of Kamaru Usman during his fight against Jorge Masvidal. Not just fans but Conor McGregor also pointed this out on Twitter during his altercation with Usman.

Usman even copying my shots now. Am I to fight this guy at some stage?
I think so. Can’t be copying my words and my shots and not get a smack for it. I like 170. It’s mine soon. pic.twitter.com/FEQgj9AsAy— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 25, 2021
Relax there, carbuncles. You big spotty back pox. You were ringside last time I fought at 170. 40 seconds is all it took. Why did you reschedule Burns fight ? What was the reason, that was never given to the public, why that already signed fight was then rescheduled? https://t.co/RDv3RtaO97

Conor McGregor even brought up the time Kamaru Usman pulled out of the fight against Gilbert Burns for UFC 256 due to undisclosed reasons. Besides Conor, Colby Covington has also accused Kamaru Usman of using EPO ( a performance-enhancing drug) leading into the title fight at UFC 245. But, is Kamaru Usman on steroids?
Recently, Colby Covington once again took jibes the welterweight champion, and claimed that Usman has been using PED’s his entire career. Here’s what he had to say ahead of the highly anticipated rematch at UFC 268.
“He’s been doing EPO his whole career,” Covington told Submission Radio. “It’s so obvious. His chemical imbalance, his body – he’s got the pimples all over his back, all over his face. You’re a 35-year-old man. You’re not going through puberty like you’re in your teens anymore. You should not be having that chemical imbalance and that breakout. That’s from his testosterone being out of whack, and his estrogen and his testosterone levels being out of whack. So he is the CEO of EPO. I’ve heard firsthand from some people that he trained with, some people that I might’ve went to wrestle in college with that said the same thing. They could verify that he has done EPO and he’s injected in his ass. So he’s the CEO of EPO. He’s ‘Marty Juiceman.’”
What are the spots on the back of Kamaru Usman?
Not so long ago there was a controversy surrounding Israel Adesanya’s left pec. Some fans thought it was gyno and some thought it was a side effect of taking steroids. Now there is no proof to prove that Adesanya is taking steroids. However, growing a gyno at the of 31 years is not normal.
Similarly, Usman was spotted with back acne during his fight with Jorge Masvidal. It can be a skin disease or it can be a result of some hormonal imbalances. And the hormonal imbalance is a result of steroid intake. Again there is no way to prove that Usman is in fact on some illegal substances but his recent knock-out wins have made the fans suspect Usman of being on PEDs.
Kamar Usma has improved his striking tremendously since he has started training with one of the best coaches in the business, Trevor Wittman. Though it’s understandable why fans are suspecting that Usman is on PEDs it does not impact a lot on the unprecedented legacy of Kamaru Usman.
He was recently congratulated for passing 50 perfect tests under the USADA program. In the process, he also became the first fighter to cross the 50 mark, having fought his entire UFC career under the USADA program. Other fighters in this list include the likes of Donald Cerrone.
Congrats to @Usman84kg on a 5️⃣0️⃣x perfect test history under the USADA program, and becoming the first UFC athlete to reach that mark fighting his/her entire UFC career under the program. pic.twitter.com/ViDYIECMPA

Kamaru Usman on his way to becoming one of the greatest fighters to ever grace the octagon. And as long as he does not fail any drug test it’s unfair to question his legacy with steroid accusations.
