The Golden State Warriors will be playing against the Los Angeles Clippers tonight and fans have been eager for this fixture. The defending champs are coming off a win against the Washington Wizards in the last game. The Warriors are doing well in Stephen Curry‘s absence. The 4x NBA champ is expected to return after the All-Star break.
The Clippers were unable to beat the Milwaukee Bucks in their last game as they failed to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo at bay. They will be aiming to avoid the same mistake tonight, with Klay Thompson and others. However, fortunately for the Clippers, Klay seems to be facing an injury and his appearance for tonight’s game is a question mark.
Klay Thompson is probable for the Golden State Warriors vs Los Angeles Clippers game tonight
Klay has stepped up while Curry watches from the sidelines. The Warriors have struggled massively with injuries to some of their key players. Steph has suffered a couple of setbacks himself, including a shoulder injury. The same could be said for Andre Iguodala, who seems to be still having a hard time with his hip injury. As for Klay, he is probable to face the Clippers tonight.
Klay Thompson may be cleared for his first back-to-back since his return tomorrow in LA vs Clippers. Kerr said he “hopes” Klay will be cleared. Warriors have nine days off after that game for All-Star break.

If he does make an appearance, it will be the first time he has played back-to-back games since returning from injury last year. The Warriors star even claimed that he was excited about his possible return. Apart from Klay, JaMychal Green and Gary Payton II are also on the Warriors’ injury report. Payton is now a GSW player and will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.

The Clippers are favored over the Warriors tonight
The Clippers will be the favorites to take the win tonight. The main reason for that would be The Chef’s absence from the team. He has undoubtedly been the Warriors’ best player in the 2022-23 NBA season. The Warriors are on a 3-3 record since his injury against the Dallas Mavericks on February 4, 2023. Although the Warriors have won games without Steph this season, it would be a huge task against a team with exceptional players like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
The last time these two teams faced was in November 2022, the Dubs took the win. Interestingly, both George and Leonard did not play in the game. Steph and Andrew Wiggins were the standout performers for GSW in that game. They put up 22 and 31 points respectively. This time around, we can predict Kawhi to give the Warriors a run for their money, especially with his defensive and passing abilities.
