The Brooklyn Nets continue their 3-game home stand as they host city rivals New York Knicks tonight at the Barclays Center. This will be the second of four annual matchups between these two teams, with the season series currently favoring the Nets 1-0. The Knicks will enter this contest on a 2-game win streak.
The Nets currently hold a 29-19 record for the season, good for the 4th spot in the Eastern Conference standings so far. They will enter this game having lost their last 2 games, with their last game being a 130-122 loss against the Detroit Pistons last night. Pistons forward Saddiq Bey scored an efficient 25 points as he helped his team survive Kyrie and his Nets.

Their last game was a 120-117 overtime win on the road against the Boston Celtics. Julius Randle scored a game-high 37 points along with Jalen Brunson who scored 29 points for the Knicks in the win.

The Brooklyn Nets are favored to win against the New York Knicks
The last time these two teams faced off against each other was on November 10 last year in which the Nets secured a 112-85 win. Kevin Durant scored a game-high 29 points to go with 12 rebounds and 12 assists in that game, leading his team to the win. For the Knicks, Julius Randle scored 24 points in that loss. Tonight, that result is likely to repeat.
Keeping Irving’s scoring in check would be key if the Knicks want to win this one. Even without Durant, the Nets have enough firepower to get the win in this one. They have also won their last eight games against the Knicks. So, expect a win for them but an exciting game nonetheless, as the city basketball rivals battle it out.
