LeBron James is the hottest man on the planet. He is about to become the All-time leading scorer in the NBA, and about to surpass the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He is most likely to break the record in the coming 2-3 games at max. LeBron is just 62 points shy away from Kareem. That said, the Los Angeles Lakers are visiting the New Orleans Pelicans tonight for their 2nd matchup in the NBA.

The Lakers are on a 2-game win streak and will be looking to make progress. They are in the play-in spots and will be making sure to climb higher. The New Orleans Pelicans are just above the Lakers on the table. However, if the Pelicans lose tonight, it won’t affect their position in the Western Conference. It will be crucial for the Pelicans to start winning in a crowded Western Conference.

LeBron James is questionable for the Los Angeles Lakers vs New Orleans Pelicans game tonight

King James will not be jumpy about breaking Kareem’s record with the record almost in his grasp. With this, the prices of the tickets have soared, as he nears breaking the record and making history. LeBron James is, however, listed as day-to-day and is questionable for tonight’s game against the Pelicans. The Lakers will be without Austin Reaves, who is nursing a hamstring injury. Russell Westbrook is also questionable for the game tonight with a non-covid illness as revealed just a few hours ago.

The Pelicans on the other hand have Zion Williamson sitting out for them. He is 2 weeks away from being re-evaluated before he can take the court for the Pelicans. Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum have been the best players for the Pelicans. However, they are stuck in a very difficult spot with their last win coming 2 weeks earlier. Let’s take a look at the complete injury report and expected roster of both teams going into the game tonight.

Los Angeles Lakers are favored against the New Orleans Pelicans tonight

The Lakers will be favored against a team whose morale is rock bottom at the moment, and no signs of a fight. The Pelicans have lost 10 straight games in the league. They have come close to breaking the unwanted streak against the Denver Nuggets with 99-98. However, in the last Lakers-Pelicans game, the game went into OT. The Lakers bested the Pelicans, outscoring the Pelicans, 9-6 in OT.

Last time out the Pelicans could rely on Zion Williamson to get buckets and scored the team’s highest. This time around Zion won’t be there to help out his team. Tonight it looks like the Lakers will take the win against the Pelicans.
