The Dallas Mavericks are playing against the San Antonio Spurs tonight. Mavs fans have been on the edge of their seats almost every game. The franchise has not performed well in recent games and playoffs seem like they’re a far shot away. They lost their last three games and will be aiming to end that disappointing run tonight.
The Spurs may not be too much for the Mavs to deal with, judging from their record this year. They have lost 50 games and only won 18 until now. However, given the Texas-based franchise’s key absentees, their bench players might have to step up tonight.
Luka Doncic is out for the Dallas Mavericks vs San Antonio Spurs game tonight
Luka Doncic has not played for the Mavericks in the last three games. He reportedly suffered a left thigh injury when playing against the New Orleans Pelicans. He had to exit the game early and only played 28 minutes that night.
Tim Hardaway Jr. (left calf contusion), Kyrie Irving (right foot soreness) and Christian Wood (right foot soreness) are all questionable for tomorrow night’s game in San Antonio.
Luka Dončić (left thigh strain) will remain out.

It looks like Luka will miss tonight’s game as well. The impact he suffered that night has proven to be too much for the guard to recover in such little time. To make things worse for Mavs fans, Kyrie Irving is also questionable. And multiple sources claim that there is very little chance for Kyrie to make an appearance against the Spurs.

Can the Mavericks put an end to their losing streak without Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving?
The Spurs’ standout player from this season, Keldon Johnson, is on the injury report ahead of tonight’s game. However, Jeremy Sochan is available to face Jason Kidd’s men and is in good form as well. The Spurs could well and truly emerge victorious tonight, mainly because of the lack of offensive firepower on the Mavs roster.
The last time these two teams faced was in February 2023. The Mavs won the game by 26 points (142-116). It was a phenomenal game from Luka and Kyrie but they will not be playing tonight and that could be exploited by the Spurs players.
