The Atlanta Hawks will continue their long 5-game road trip as they visit the Denver Nuggets tonight at the Ball Arena. This will be the second and final matchup between these two teams for the season. The Hawks will enter this one on a 2-game winning streak.
The Hawks currently hold a 27-26 record for the season, good for the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference standings so far. They will enter this game having won their last game against the Utah Jazz with a final score of 115-108. Hawks star Trae Young scored a game-high 27 points and dished out 6 assists as he helped his team survive the Jazz on the road.
On the other hand, the Nuggets have been impressive so far this season. They currently sit at the top spot in the Western Conference with a 36-16 record. Their last game was a 134-117 win against the Golden State Warriors, which featured six Nuggets players scoring in double figures with Jamal Murray leading the charge with 33 points.
Nikola Jokic is listed as questionable for the Atlanta Hawks vs Denver Nuggets game tonight
Nikola Jokic has been playing at an elite level again this season. The reigning MVP has played in 45 games this season so far and is averaging a triple-double of 25.0/11.1/10.1. For tonight’s game, however, he is listed as questionable due to left hamstring tightness.

The Denver Nuggets are favored to win against the Atlanta Hawks
The last time these two teams faced off against each other was earlier this season in which the Hawks secured a 117-109 win. Dejounte Murray scored 34 points for the Hawks in that win. For the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic put up a team-high 24 points in that loss. Tonight, however, that result is unlikely to repeat.
The Nuggets have been an elite team this season and certainly better than the Hawks by a mile. Plus, they will enter this game riding high on their 2-game winning streak and will look to close out their home stand undefeated. So, expect a win for them but an exciting game between two good teams.
