The Golden State Warriors will be heading to the Atlanta Hawks next during a 5-game away trip. The two teams will be facing each other for the last time this season. It is going to be a short-handed Warriors roster as they lock horns with the Hawks. Stephen Curry is a key member of the Warriors, who has had his share of injuries this season. The Warriors will be looking to get on a winning run as the West keeps getting interesting.

The last time these two teams faced each other was in January. It was a high-scoring game, however, the Warriors won the game at home 143-141. The Chase Center was at maximum capacity when the two teams met each other. Both teams will be desperate for a win as neither of the team’s situations looks idle. It will be an enthralling contest as every game counts for them in the hope of making it to the playoffs.

Stephen Curry is questionable for tonight’s Golden State Warriors vs Atlanta Hawks game

The Warriors this season have dealt with significant injury setbacks. Stephen Curry is one of the players who has been out for the Warriors due to a leg injury. However, entering into tonight’s game, Curry is listed as day-to-day and is questionable for the Warriors. The Warriors, as it is have senior players ruled out for the game. Steph’s injury could be another blow against the Hawks.

As for the Hawks, it will be a tough task against the defending champion who has the pedigree to fight it out without their best players on the floor. Nonetheless, the absence of the 2x MVP will be significant. The Hawks will be going into the game with a single injury in the form of Jalen Johnson who is probable for tonight’s game. Let’s take a look at the complete injury report and expected roster for both teams.

Golden State Warriors injury report

  • Stephen Curry (Questionable)
  • Kevon Looney (Probable)
  • Ty Jerome (Probable)
  • Draymond Green (out)
  • Andre Igoudala (Out)
  • Gary Payton II (Out)
  • Andrew Wiggins (Out)
  • Ryand Collins (Out)

Golden State Warriors expected roster

  • Klay Thompson
  • Jordan Poole
  • Kevon Looney (Probable)
  • Donte DiVincenzo
  • Jonathan Kuminga

Atlanta Hawks injury report

  • Jalen Johnson (Probable)

Atlanta Hawks expected roster

  • Trae Young
  • Dejounte Murray
  • Clint Capela
  • John Collins
  • De’Andre Hunter

The Golden State Warriors will be favored to win over the Atlanta Hawks

Despite the Warriors going into the game short-handed, the Warriors will be facing the Hawks with a similar roster as they did last time out. Poole and Thompson will be the primary scorers, as for Thompson, he managed to drop 54 points against the Hawks last time out. The only worry the Warriors will face is going into the game defensively, as Green is ruled out after picking up his 16th technical foul of the season.

Status alert: Draymond Green has picked up his 16th technical foul this season. Will be suspended for Friday’s game unless it is rescinded.

It is going to be a close game, as the Hawks will be looking to exploit the defensive openings by the Warriors. They will be the more desperate team to win who are 8th in the Eastern Conference. It is going to be one of their strategies to lock out Thompson from picking up buckets. Let us know who you think will win tonight at the Warriors-Hawks game.
