The United States Champion Theory has been been on the rise since re-debuting on RAW in 2021. According to several reports, Vince McMahon believes that Theory is a ‘John Cena-Caliber’ superstar. He recently became the youngest superstar to capture the United States title at the age of 24. He could be the ideal replacement for Roman Reigns as the ‘face’ of WWE.

You see the future right in front of your eyes.
Headin’ to the top but it’s not a surprise.
Not in my eyes, knew it and dreamt it as a child🚀 #ATownDown #alldaytheory #wwe pic.twitter.com/UpnwF8Yr12

Theory recently appeared in an interview with Ryan Satin on Out of Character. He revealed in that interview that he had a chat about being the face of the WWE, and Theory believes that he has what it takes to get to the top in the company.

Theory’s conversation with Vince McMahon about being the ‘face’ of WWE

Ryan Satin asked Theory about what it takes to become the ‘face’ of WWE and if he thought he had the ability to be the frontrunner of the roster. The 24-year-old superstar admitted that he is taking things slowly and not getting ahead of himself. But Theory has all the faith in himself to be the face of the company. This is what he had to say.

“I think so. I don’t know what that level is because I’m on my way up and slowly starting to see how different things are and is a lot of evolution for Theory as a character and me, in my life, being ready for that. The way things are going, I feel I’m at a steady pace, but at the same time, there are some things that happen that put you on a new level. Honestly, I try not to get in my head too much because, at the end of the day, these are big accomplishments and this is the WWE.”

Theory also added that he had a discussion with McMahon regarding the role as the face of WWE.

He said, “Yeah, because I wanted him to know that this was never a second choice for me. This was always the only thing. Nothing against college or stuff like that, you can do that at anytime. For me, I never had a plan B. It was this or nothing. I was so heavy believing in myself at a very young age that, when these guys are at parties in high school, I’m in the gym and I’m training. I finish a job in a warehouse, working 8pm to 8am, I’m tired as hell, but I have to get up and workout because if I don’t, I’m gonna fall off. I’m gonna keep pushing until the next day. It’s that mentality and those little things. Everything that happens in life, happens for a reason.

Theory believes that he can become the WWE Champion in the not-so-distant future after Ryan Satin asked him where United States Champion thinks he will be in a year. His rise on RAW is nothing short of meteoric, and it looks like he is destined for great things in WWE.

Here’s why Theory could replace Roman Reigns as the face of WWE

Roman Reigns has achieved almost everything WWE has to offer. After finally turning heel, he cemented himself as one of the biggest superstars in the company. Reigns’ new contract includes a lighter schedule. Since he is slowly becoming a part-timer, Theory seems to be the perfect replacement for the Tribal Chief. Vince McMahon is already fixated on Theory as the next ‘big thing.’

Theory’s WWE career trajectory is similar to John Cena’s when Cena started with the company. He recently grabbed his first championship in WWE, i.e., the US title, just like John Cena. Theory is a great combination of looks, size, and athleticism. He is only 24 years old and has a long career ahead of him if WWE books him the right way. This is what McMahon looks for in most superstars.

Apart from Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, there aren’t many superstars at Roman Reigns’ level. WWE has been building Riddle as a big star. But Theory has an age advantage and has a lot of time to hone and develop his skills as a WWE superstar.
