Serena Williams has taken all the limelight in women’s tennis ever since she announced her return to the court. Before playing Wimbledon, she decided to play the doubles tournament in Eastbourne as a warm-up tournament. She paired with Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur and they formed an amazing team.
However, the duo had to withdraw from the tournament after winning two matches as Jabeur suffered a minor injury. In a recent interview, her husband and trainer Karim Kamoun talked about what it was like to interact with Serena.

Serena is someone who takes her practice and training very seriously. As per Kamoun, she plays during practice as though it is a real professional match. He said, “Even in practice she doesn’t want to miss. She’s hitting the ball and every ball is like she’s playing a match, so every ball counts and she’s so focused on each movement.”
The American legend was so warm with Jabeur and Kamoun that the two invited her to Tunisia. Serena readily agreed to come and spend some time in Jabeur’s country. Furthermore, Kamoun said, “Talking with Serena, joking. We invited her to Tunisia. She was so happy, she said, ‘OK I’m coming, I heard that Venus is coming,’.”
Jabeur played her first match at Wimbledon against Mirjam Bjorklund on the opening day of the tournament. She won the match in straight sets without dropping her set. On the other hand, Serena will play her first-round match against France’s Harmony Tan.
