The Golden State Warriors have made it known across the world that they are one of the biggest sports teams in the world. They won their 7th NBA title this year, with their star trio Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green all showing up in style. To be honest, both Steph and Dray have been more present than Klay in recent times.
Klay Thompson made a long-awaited comeback for the Golden State Warriors this year
Recently, Klay spoke about having a mental block after being on the sidelines. He said to Anthony Slater, “I haven’t played a lot this summer. It was hard to, especially what I went through the last summer. I was healthy, popping my Achilles. It was really hard for me to get out there, mentally it was hard. It’s hard to explain. It’s like a mental block in a way.”

It seems like he hasn’t played much basketball in this summer’s off-season. It is pretty obvious that his Achilles injury last time around is causing him to be cautious. He first tore his ACL during Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. In addition to that, he tore his Achilles right before the 2020-21 season. To be fair, he can’t be blamed. If he faces another injury and is out for next season, it will be a huge blow for both Thompson and the Warriors.
The GSW franchise is looking to defend the title once again as they want to continue their dynasty’s reign. And as we all know, the 32-year-old is a key part in that. In recent times, Klay also had his say on the Warriors’ chances of winning the title next season. Although he didn’t give much away, he did say, “I like our chances”.
