Memphis Grizzlies first-time All-star Ja Morant wants his fellow All-star reserve Luka Doncic in the 2022 NBA Slam dunk contest. The 2020 Rookie of the Year tweeted, “Luka dunking tonight, put him in the dunk contest RIGHT NOW,” as Doncic threw down a thunderous dunk over Andre Drummond.
Luka Doncic also had a historic performance where he took the game away from a rampaging Joel Embiid led Philadelphia 76rs. Jojo had a 27 point and 13 rebound game but failed to beat a Mavs team without big men like Kristapas Porzingas and Maxi Kleber.

Dallas puts up a clinical display
The Dallas Mavericks grabbed a 107-98 comeback victory over the Sixers. Luka Doncic led this 16-point comeback as he had a historic 33 point triple-double with 13 assists and 15 rebounds. ”We should have really blown them out,” said Sixers’ MVP candidate Joel Embiid on the Mavs’ comeback. ”We gave them life,” he added.
Mavs forward Reggie Bullock also had an incredible game with 20 points on 4-11 shooting from deep. The thirty-year-old has averaged 18.2 points in the last five games while shooting 46.8% from the deep. Dallas with Bullock and Doncic had all their other starters scoring in double digits.
Luka Doncic’s Magical night
Consequently, the Wonder Boy passed Fat Lever for 10th-most triple-doubles in NBA history with 44 triple-doubles. Luka is the youngest player on the triple-doubles list with the likes of Wilt Chamberlin, Magic Johnson, LeBron James and his head coach Jason Kidd etc.

“I feel better,” Doncic said after the intense game. Luka then talked about his fitness after early game struggles. He said, “A lot of minutes today. I’m obviously tired. It’s late. But, when the season started, I couldn’t play [these] minutes.”
Unique first quarter delay
The game between the Mavericks and the Sixers suffered a 44-minute delay because of a crooked rim. Doncic hit a 3-pointer with six minutes remaining in the first quarter and immediately started waving his hands towards the officials. He was trying to signal that the Mavericks’ rim was skewed.
Dallas 7’4” centre Boban Marjanovic tried hanging on the rim to solve the problem. Luka then stopped over at the ESPN commentary table and told analyst Richard Jefferson the angle was “even worse than before.” Then finally, the damaged basket was replaced by a new one to go ahead with the game.
