At a young age and only a few years into the sport, The Problem Child sold out an arena and was the main event of one of the biggest PPV of the year. So the fans were expecting even bigger achievements from Jake going forward.

 

However, a recent statement from The Problem Child has shocked the fans. Not so long after winning the fight, Jake announced retirement from boxing on Twitter. Jake tweeted: “Updated status: Retired boxer”

Now it’s a shocking announcement considering the fact that The Problem Child was eyeing the super-fight with Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz following the win over Tyron Woodley.

 

Jake Paul did say that he will go on a break following the win on Sunday. He stated: “I have been boxing for 18 months now. I haven’t been to the dentist, I barely got my haircut in 2 years, my teeth are all crooked,my nose is crooked, I have dedicated my past 18 months to this , I have not stopped, I think I need to chill out for a second. Figure out who I am, I am only 24, I am changing, learning a lot, I am going through ups and downs, I am making mistakes, but I am keeping my head on straight. I am just gonna get back in the gym when I am ready and we will see.”

Despite stunning the fans with a retirement announcement, Jake Paul still wants Woodley to get the “I Love Jake Paul Tattoo”.

Jake has said that they will talk about the rematch if Woodley gets the tattoo done as promised. And from the recent comments of Woodley, it seems he is going to get the tattoo done on his thighs.

So it won’t be surprising to see Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley face each other once again inside the boxing ring. But, for now, the fans will have to wait for further updates from Jake Paul regarding his comments on retirement.
