Francis Ngannou destroyed the greatest heavyweight of all time, Stipe Miocic at UFC 260. After such a dominating performance who should he fight next?
The UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou does have some intriguing matchups on the table. A rematch with Derrick Lewis is certainly fascinating for the fans despite the disappointing outcome in the first encounter. A super-fight between Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou might just be the biggest fight UFC can make right now. However, there is one more champion who is ready to take on Francis Ngannou if he gets the opportunity.

In a recent interview with RT Sport, UFC light heavyweight champion, Jan Blachowicz said that he is ready to move up to heavyweight to fight Francis Ngannou. Blachowicz stated:
“When I finish my career, it’s gonna be at heavyweight. If UFC [tells] me, ‘You want to fight against Francis?’ why not? I don’t have time for don’t accept fight like this. If they want to make fight like this, I would accept it, no problem. He’s got amazing power. He’s got power like Predator. He has great power but nobody has power like Legendary Polish Power.”
Now, this might seem unreal for many fans as nobody expected Blachowicz to show interest in a heavyweight bout. However, he is the UFC light heavyweight champion and he has all the rights to believe that he can take on the Predator inside the octagon. But, whether he can beat Ngannou is a different question.

Can Jan Balchowicz beat Francis Ngannou?
Daniel Cormier and Randy Couture are the only light heavyweights who have moved up to heavyweight in UFC and had tremendous success. Jon Jones is moving up to heavyweight next as well. However, there is a big weight disadvantage for a light heavyweight when he is moving up a division.
Though they will have the advantage with speed and cardio the power difference is huge. Jan Blachowicz does bring in a lot of power when he enters the octagon but it’s very unlikely that he will outpower Francis Ngannou. Blachowicz will certainly have better striking, grappling, and cardio than Ngannou. But, to beat Ngannou, Blachowicz will have to put on the best performance of his career and survive the early storm from Ngannou. But, if Jon Jones gets destroyed in his possible next fight against Francis Ngannou then it’s highly unlikely that UFC will entertain Jan Blachowicz moving up a division.
