John Cena has to be one of the most influential superstars to step foot inside a WWE ring. Being a 16-time World Champion itself surmounts the Cenation Leader on top of the sports entertainment juggernaut. Although Cena isn’t around as much as he used to be in WWE, no one can defy whenever the Peacemaker star has an opinion about wrestling.
It’s been well-known that The Franchise Player wasn’t a textbook guy during his prime. There have been a handful of superstars in the past who dared to improvise what the writers handed them. While many would’ve been comfortable working in their shells, John had a different approach to his acts. Some of the best feuds Cena had in the modern era of WWE include those with the likes of AJ Styles and Seth Rollins.
Is @JohnCena the “Master of the Mic?” By the looks of these ten verbal jabs, the odds are definitely in his favor… #WWETop10 pic.twitter.com/dMzoJz6LJk

Recently, during an interview with Chris Van Vliet, the 46-year-old WWE legend opened up about his disdain for generic WWE scripts. “It’s up to the talent to take something, no offense that is and make it good. I have never been handed a written piece of paper that i go – This is great. It’s always how do we turn this into something that makes sense and i’ve seen guys like The Miz do it, i’ve seen guys like Seth do it, AJ when we were able to creatively bond for a while,” he said.
Basically, the wrestler-turned-actor claimed how important your presentation is in front of that global audience as a performer. Admittedly calling those printed documents “sh*t,” as he never received a good one, John Cena emphasized the adaptability of each member of the roster.
John Cena’s last WrestleMania match with Austin Theory
At this year’s Showcase of the Immortals, John Cena competed in his first Mania bout since 2020. Obviously, he came back to elevate his widely assumed newer version – Austin Theory. To serve the exact purpose, the former Doctor of Thuganomics suffered a pinfall loss against the reigning United States Champion.
While many fans were hoping to see their 16-time World Champion rattle Theory, it didn’t happen. Cena committed to working this match in the midst of a movie project. That being said, he wasn’t going to stick around longer and eventually passed on the torch to WWE’s widely anticipated future.
There’s absolutely zero indication about the Cenation Leader’s next WWE venture. At one point, there were significant talks about having Logan Paul as John Cena’s WrestleMania opponent this year. But in the end, things just never worked out to make that happen. This very well leaves SummerSlam 2023 as the next most probable destination to conduct the aforementioned money bounce.
