When was John Cena’s last WrestleMania match?
John Cena is one of the first names on the WrestleMania card every year. Unfortunately due to his Hollywood commitments, Cena was unable to be part of the “Grandest Stage of Them All” in recent years.
The 16-time WWE Champion’s last WrestleMania match was against Bray Wyatt three years ago. Due to the pandemic situation, WWE was forced to conduct its shows without a live audience. Cena and Wyatt took advantage of the empty arena situation at WrestleMania 36. Both stars competed in a pre-recorded “Firefly Fun House” match at the show.
Despite being weird, the match received praise from fans across the world. The match was like a fever dream where Cena was seen playing multiple gimmicks from his past. Wyatt was able to get the win in the end after hitting the veteran with his finishing move, “Sister Abigail.”
Fans are eagerly waiting to see the Peacemaker star make his return to a WWE ring. Cena’s last WWE match happened on the December 31st edition of Smackdown where he teamed up with Kevin Owens and defeated the team of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
