Despite the loss of the co-main event, UFC 265 still has some exciting fights in the main card and the prelims. The main event between Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane will crown the new interim heavyweight champion.
Both Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane have been on a dominant winning streak in the UFC heavyweight division. If Vicente Luque beats Chiesa, who has looked dominant in the welterweight division, then he will be aiming for a title shot against Kamaru Usman or a fight against top 3 contenders.
Even the prelims are stacked with some fun matchups including Tecia Torres vs Angela Hill, Rafael Fiziev vs Bobby Green, and Ed Herman vs Alonzo Menifield. It’s very likely that Rafael Fiziev vs Bobby Green will be moved to the main card now considering the performance of Fiziev in his last fight.
