Walkout songs have become a talking point among MMA fans today. Fighters offer their opinion or give credit to their favorite artist by walking out to the music of their choice. Often, it is also used to represent a fighter’s culture, and heritage, while others find their motivation in a particular song. Justin Gaethje has used several songs for his UFC walkout, and while “Vacation” by Dirty Heads during his fight with Dustin Poirier remains my favorite, here’s taking a look at all the songs that Gaethje has walked out to in his UFC career.
UFC on Fox: Poirier vs Gaethje
Gaethje made his Octagon walk with “Vacation” by Dirty Heads playing in the background. In what was yet another Fight of the Night performance for the Human Highlight Reel, Justin Gaethje delivered yet another exciting fight following his war with Eddie Alvarez.
UFC 254: Justin Gaethje walks out to “War Monger” for his fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254
Following his absolute dominance of Tony Ferguson that saw him snap El Cucuy’s 13 fight win-streak, Gaethje took on the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov for the undisputed lightweight championship of the world at UFC 254.
Justin Gaethje used the song “War Monger” by The Simpkin Project for his walkout to the Octagon. Needless to say, Gaethje loves the art of mixed martial arts, and the violence and carnage that comes with it. Always ready to step into a war, Gaethje must have channeled the war mentality from the song.
Justin Gaethje’s UFC debut against Michael Johnson
Gaethje made his UFC debut against seasoned fighter Michael Johnson in what was one of the most entertaining fights in the history of the UFC. Gaethje made his UFC debut, vacating the WSOF lightweight championship, so when he walked out to the song Champion by Kezmandi, the excitement in the building took to another level.
That was all my pick. Heard it on @TheJoint_42 and had to walk to it. Great song, thank you.

What’s better? Justin Gaethje surprised the artist, who took to Twitter to thank the UFC for using his single, titled “Champion,” only to hear back from Justin Gaethje that it was all his idea.
Justin Gaethje’s UFC 268 walkout song: ‘Superstar’ by Cypress Hill
Justin Gaethje had one of the best fights in UFC history against Michael Chandler at UFC 268. For that event, Gaethje walked out to a song by Cypress Hill called ‘Superstar.’ The song was the perfect appetizer for the mayhem that followed.
Justin Gaethje’s UFC 274 walk-out song
In the very first embedded video for UFC 274, Justin Gaethje revealed that he will walk out to a Mariachi band song called ‘The King.’ He has an emotional attachment to that song as it was his father’s favourite song of all time.
Gaethje further stated that the title of the song also has a lot of significance. He predicts that he will beat Charles Oliveira to capture the 1555lbs championship belt. Hence, the tune will be perfect for the occasion.
