Kamaru Usman has nothing left to prove as far as his rivalry with Jorge Masvidal goes. The Nigerian Nightmare became the first fighter to earn a KO win over Jorge Masvidal after he knocked out Gamebred with a vicious right hand in the second round to successfully defend his welterweight title for the fourth time in what was an exciting performance from arguably the greatest welterweight of all time.
Kamaru Usman has cruised through the welterweight division, and it looks like he only has rematches to think about with Covington hungry for another shot at the title. Additionally, Leon Edwards will also look to challenge Usman once again, this time for the welterweight strap should he triumph over Nate Diaz at UFC 263.
Kamaru Usman hasn’t denied any possibility of a potential trilogy bout with Jorge Masvidal and feels if Gamebred can bounce back and earn victories as he did before landing the title opportunity, there’s every reason to believe that a trilogy bout will be on the cards, and Usman is ready for it should the opportunity arise.
