UFC analyst and broadcaster Laura Sanko is set to make history. Recently, it was revealed that Sanko will become the first female commentator in the UFC at the upcoming UFC Vegas 68. Notably, she will be the first female commentator in the entire 30 years of the UFC.
Although she has commented previously on Dana White’s Contender Series and Invicta FC, this will be her first major gig. A former MMA fighter with a pro record of 1-0 and an amateur record of 4-1, Sanko has been a part of the UFC since 2016. Since then she has been a part of the broadcasting team, and a backstage reporter.

As such, she will now take her place on the UFC’s main commentary team alongside Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and others. However, her time with the UFC has also seen her involved in a controversy. Recently former UFC fighter and Glory MMA head coach James Krause was suspended due to betting allegations.
As such, any fighter affiliated with Krause or Glory MMA would be suspended as well. In light of Sanko’s UFC commentary debut, reports of an alleged affair with Krause re-appeared. According to Megan Anderson, a former UFC featherweight, there were hints of a possible romantic relationship between the pair.
However, Anderson’s comments were quickly retracted, with many deducing her strained relations with both Sanko and Krause as the reason behind her backhanded comments. Since the allegations, neither Krause nor Sanko have made any comments on the matter either.
Who is Laura Sanko’s husband Nathan Sanko?
At the time, rumors of the alleged affair sent fans into a frenzy as Laura and James are both married. Whilst James Krause has been married to Shynhel Krause for more than a decade, the same can be said for Laura and her husband, Nathan Sanko.
Previously, it was revealed that Nathan and Laura had been dating for 6 years before getting married in September 2012. Hence, the couple has been married for more than a decade and even have a son named Burke Sanko. For the most part, Laura prefers to keep her family life private and seldom posts with them.

Notably, there is very little information regarding her husband Nathan Sanko. However, reports state that Nathan was an economics student from the University of Arkansas. Interestingly, Mr. Sanko has been a part of numerous businesses over the years. As such, he was part of Back 2 Basics of Indiana, LLC, from 1997-2005, and is the co-founder and CEO of No Limit Safety, LLC, No Limit Wheels, LLC, and Leggera Techologies, LLC.
Additionally, Nathan is also the owner of Back to Basics Beef, LLC, and a board member of Movista since 2010. On the other hand, Laura completed her education at William Jewel College and has a degree in BBA, Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
Despite the surprising rumors, the couple seems to be going strong and were also present together at the Fighters Only World MMA Awards 2022.
