Conor McGregor has largely remained private about his family and the Notorious has only rarely shared photos with his mother and father. While that’s just an indication of McGregor keeping his personal life away from the social media limelight, the Notorious has time and again credited his family for the unconditional love and support that he has received over the years.

Ahead of what will be the biggest fight of his career against former interim champion Dustin Poirier, McGregor decided to surprise the fight fans by going live on Instagram and addressing their question. Needless to say, in what was a fun-filled Instagram Live session with fans, several celebrities tuned in to pass their wishes to the former dual champion ahead of UFC 264. However, it was a message from Conor McGregor’s sister Erin McGregor which stole the show.

“Ma sends her love, she’s here with me.” Erin McGregor wrote as she joined her brother’s Instagram live ahead of what promises to be an epic encounter between two of the greatest mixed martial artist this sport has ever seen.

“Love you Ma, love you Erin.” McGregor said in a short and sweet reply.

Conor McGregor has two sisters by the name Erin McGregor and Aoife McGregor. Erin McGregor shares the same interest as her brother, and is a former bodybuilder, and has won several awards at a competitive level. Erin regards her younger brother Conor McGregor as her inspiration and credits his will to put in the work and his belief in himself as the main reason behind his incredible success.

“I was totally naive going into the bodybuilding scene. There is a huge amount of sacrifice,” she continued, “It was only when I began to compete that I turned to my mam one day and said, ‘Now I truly understand how hard Conor works.'”

Conor McGregor’s family has often accompanied him to his fights, and it will be interesting to see whether that will be the case inside the T-Mobile arena when the Notorious takes on Dustin Poirier in the hugely anticipated five-round main event at UFC 264.
