Carlos Takam is one of the deadliest boxers in the heavyweight division. Having made his professional boxing debut back in December of 2005, the Cameroonian-born French professional boxer continues to prove his boxing prowess even today. With over 15 years of professional ring experience, Carlos Takam will go down as one of the most impactful heavyweight boxers in the history of the sport.

Carlos Takam has competed 45 times inside the professional ring, winning 39 of those bouts, out of which 28 have come via way of stoppage. Takam has faced some of the greatest boxers to ever step inside the boxing ring in the form of Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua, Alexander Povetkin among others. While much is known about his illustrious boxing career, let’s take a look at his personal life.

Carlos Takam was born in Cameroon and later immigrated to France for a better living. Takam repressed his country Cameroon in the 2004 Athens Olympics and is also a 2003 African Championship gold medallist. Takam holds both French and Cameroon citizenship.

Carlos Takam is a humble person, and never shies away from sending his love and regards to his mother and father on social media. Takam’s father is no more now. Needless to say, he credits his father for his incredible success both inside and outside the Octagon and holds him on a very high regard.

 

Carlos Takam is a family man. While he doesn’t share much about his personal life on social media, his Instagram profile tells us that he has three kids. Takam is happily married and often shares photos of his wonderful kids. Takam comes from very humble beginnings and is thankful for whatever he has achieved over the course of his life. 

 

Carlos Takam is extremely down-to-earth and tries to give back to society as much as he can. While he may have settled in France after going pro, he revisits Cameroon to help the needy. Takam’s philanthropic efforts have earned him the respect of boxing fans around the world.
