Kamaru Usman has proven to be a dominant individual in the octagon since winning his championship title from Tyron Woodley. Since then he’s been on a winning roll defeating talents like Jorge Masvidal, Colby Covington, and Gilbert Burns.
The current Welterweight champion’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has revealed that the champion is willing to make his return to the octagon at UFC 263, the ‘Nigerian Nightmare‘ made it clear that he wants to put his title on the line once again.
With that been said, the UFC community is filled with fire to see the reigning Welterweight champion in a brawl with all the possible opponents.
In a recent interview, boxing legend Mike Tyson and Ali Abdelaziz shared their thoughts regarding a potential matchup between Kamaru Usman and Georges St-Pierre, in which Ali strongly vouched for the Nigerian.
“I love George, but I think Kamaru would knock out anybody, it doesn’t matter.” Ali said to Tyson.
George St- Pierre says “He’s not sure, fighting Kamaru Usman”
GSP explained why doesn’t want to commit three months of training to fight against Usman, GSP also stated that he does not need the money.
“If I come back to fight Usman, I would literally have to leave the county, I would have to bring my coaches somewhere, find a base camp, fly in training partners to get ready for Usman. But leaving my home, I don’t want to do it. I’m healthy, I’m wealthy”
Mike Tyson disagrees with Ali Abdelaziz
But, he still believes that a fight between Kamaru Usman vs Georges St- Pierre would be a great fight in UFC. Mike also stated that GSP has been a natural Welterweight and his groundwork is commendable.
“We gotta do this fight. George is hard to hit” said Mike
There is a possibility that we might see Usman and GSP throwing punches in the octagon. The stakes for that match would be very high. GSP has been absent since 2017 and Usman is undefeated and on a winning streak.
