Fedor Emilianenko has cemented his position as one of the greatest ever heavyweights ever in MMA. With a career spanning over 21 years, Fedor has put up innumerable incredible performances inside the cage. As such, he has managed to win the hearts of old-school fight fans around the world.
Throughout his career, Fedor has been a fighter who never backed down from a slugfest. Born in Stary Oskol, Russia, he has always been a joy to watch, with his prowess inside the cage never failing to impress fans. Although he seems like an immovable mountain, the Russian carries a generous and quiet personality outside of it.
As such, who doesn’t want to know more about the legendary fighter’s personal life and what he does outside of MMA? Ahead of his last-ever MMA fight and rematch against Ryan Bader, let’s take an in-depth look at Fedor Emilianenko’s personal life.
Is Fedor Emilianenko married?
Indeed, “The Last Emperor” is a married man, and multiple times as well. Speaking about his personal life, Fedor married his longtime girlfriend by the name of Oksana in 1999. Following their marriage, Oksana gave birth to their first daughter Masha, the very same year.
According to sources, the Russian brawler knew Oksana since their school days. Unfortunately, after 7 years of their marriage, the couple got divorced in 2006.
Following his separation from Oksana, Fedor started dating his girlfriend Marina. The pair were often spotted together at parties and other social events. Then, the couple welcomed their first child on 29 December 2007, a daughter by the name of Vasilisa. Soon thereafter, the couple tied the knot in October 2009. Then, in July 2011, the couple was blessed with their second child and second daughter, Elizaveta.
But, after 4 years of their marriage, Fedor and Marina separated in 2014. Then, the Russian again remarried his first wife Oksana in 2014 and has been with her ever since.
Has Fedor ever fought in the UFC?
Unfortunately, Emilianenko never set foot inside a UFC Octagon. However, ahead of his career swan song at Bellator 290, the Russian fighter has revealed that he has no regrets about not fighting in the UFC. Previously, Fedor spoke about a meeting with Dana White.
“I’m looking at this from a bit of a different perspective,” Emelianenko said speaking to Ariel Helwani. “If it was supposed to happen. If it didn’t happen, then it didn’t happen.” According to Fedor, he was never able to come to an agreement with the UFC over the terms of his contract. Moreover, the 46-year-old is not a big fan of UFC President Dana White either, claiming that he only respects fighters that can make him a lot of money.
However, for the most part, Fedor has already faced a plethora of former UFC champions and fighters. As such, Fedor’s resume includes some renowned names like Rampage Jackson, Frank Mir, Chael Sonnen, Fabricio Werdum, Andrei Arlovski, Mirko Cro Cop, and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira among others.
Thus, Fedor Emilianenko believes that he beat a lot of UFC champions in his career, which is why not fighting in the UFC did not bother him. In his illustrious career, Fedor has achieved success in many MMA promotions across the globe, winning many titles in his time. As such, his legacy as one of the best if not the best heavyweight MMA fighter of all time will live on, for years after his retirement.
