After expressing his intention to surpass UFC, Eagle FC promoter Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed while speaking to Sky Sports that he still retains a healthy relationship with UFC President Dana White.
“I’m very good with Dana you know. All my life like when I was fighter I know a lot of fighters have problem with him and all about because of money you know. When I say in interview and all my friends I’m here to fight not for money. I’m here to fight for legacy.”
“Like a lot of people don’t understand me. No they misunderstand me. Now I understand why I have a good relationship with Dana because I don’t fight for money.”
Both Dana and Khabib share mutual respect for each other and they have spoken highly about each other on multiple occasions. However, now that Eagle FC and UFC are competitors in terms of promotion, it would be interesting to see if they will share the same amount of respect in the coming years.
