Henry Cejudo has donned the hat of a coach in recent time, helping fighters like Zhang Weili and Deiveson Figueiredo for their respective camps ahead of title fights. While Zhang Weili failed to regain her championship belt, Figueiredo was successful under the tutelage of the former two-division champion.
Going against an elite grappler in the form of Glover Teixeira, there’s no denying that Jiri Prochazka will pick up a lot from someone like Henry Cejudo. Moreover, the addition of the LHW king Jon Jones will add so much more value to Jiri’s camp.
Jiri Prochazka to train alongside Henry Cejudo for UFC 274
In a conversation with SportsKeeda, Jiri Prochazka revealed that he would be meeting Henry Cejudo for the first time. However, he did mention meeting Jon Jones back in 2016-17. Prochazka also revealed what made him decide to train at Cejudo’s Fight Ready. Here’s what he had to say.
“They gave me the information what I wanted to know about the camp because I thought about another camp, I think two-three places. But fighters, who train there, who have great wins and is the true champion of the MMA. They train there, that’s the best place to train there if they are training Jon Jones, Deiveson Figueiredo and that’s enough for me to go in there and train there.”
With just two fights in the UFC, Prochazka will fight for the title. He is coming off an incredible stoppage win over Dominick Reyes and has looked absolutely incredible in both his outings inside the Octagon.
