The signs are clear, Khabib Nurmagomedov could well be the youngest UFC Hall of Famer in the history of the sport. Helping fellow friend Islam Makhachev ahead of his short-notice match-up against Bobby Green, Nurmagomedov will once again be a part of Makhachev’s fight-week camp ahead of UFC Vegas 49.
Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from mixed martial arts following his second-round submission win over Justin Gaethje back at UFC 254. Nurmagomedov retired 29-0 and in the back of three successful title defenses to his name. With wins over the likes of former champions including Rafael dos Anjos, Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje, Nurmagomedov has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. During his active career, he held the record for the longest winning streak and became the first fighter to submit Conor McGregor inside the Octagon.
It looks like Nurmagomedov is looking to add another feather to his cap by becoming the youngest fighter in the UFC to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. In a recent appearance on the YouTube channel Anatomy of Fighter, which has gained a reputation of coming up with great content in the lead-up to fights, Nurmagomedov could be seen pointing at the Hall of Fame sign on the wall. “Very soon brother,” Khabib exclaimed while looking at the sign.
As it stands, Ronda Rousey was inducted into the Hall of Fame class of 2018 at the age of 31 and continues to be the youngest fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Needless to say, if Nurmagomedov achieves this feat in the next coming years, he could well be the youngest male fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
Is Khabib Nurmagomedov UFC Hall of Famer?
Khabib Nurmagomedov is not a UFC Hall of Famer. He is a former UFC Lightweight Champion, having gone 13-0 inside the UFC Octagon. However, there’s a reason to believe that he could be the youngest fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Unlike many fighters, Nurmagomedov decided to rest his gloves early and retired at the age of 31. 29-0 in his mixed martial arts career, there’s no denying the Hall of Fame status for Khabib Nurmagomedov. One thing is for sure, Nurmagomedov has shown no desire to compete, and may not even compete in the future. Needless to say, should he remain retired, it’s quite possible that the UFC will induct Khabib Nurmagomedov into the Hall of Fame much sooner than we might expect.
