Sean O’Malley will be in action against Kris Moutinho in a bantamweight fight at UFC 264. O’Malley will feature in the main card which is headlined by Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor.
During the build-up of the event, The Suga Show rated his top five active bantamweights and must-watch UFC fighters in an interview. He ranked the Notorious at the top of his list “You gotta go with Conor, he’s the most exciting. If Conor’s fighting, I’m excited about fight week, I’m excited about embedded. I’m excited about everything.”
Originally, Sean O’Malley was going to square up against Louis Smolka at UFC 264. However, Smolka had to withdraw from the fight due to a staph infection. As a result, Suga Show’s chances of fighting on July 10th looked slim. But three fighters volunteered to face Sean O’Malley. However, UFC decided to select the newcomer Kris Moutinho as his opponent. Luckily Moutinho has received a golden opportunity and if he is able to do what many believe will be the toughest night of his MMA career, the sky is the limit for the young prospect who will be making his UFC debut this weekend at UFC 264.
Even though the Suga Show is not a top-ranked fighter in the Bantamweight division he has managed to become a big star in the promotion. This is mainly because of his flamboyant fighting style and great showmanship. Hence fight fans will be excited to watch his fight at UFC 264.
