Conor McGregor Congratulates Dustin Poirier for The Good Fight Foundation


Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier goes down on January 23 inside Etihad Arena on Fight Island in what promises to be an epic battle between two of the best fighters in the history of UFC. Both the fighters have squared off against each other in the past, with McGregor emerging victorious via knockout in the first round.

While there was a lot of trash-talk leading into the first fight, the rematch has seen a calm and composed side of both the fighters. There is no trash-talk and no disrespect between teh fighters, as they gear up for one of the biggest fight of 2021 and the promotion’s first PPV event this year.

“As far as this one, this has been a lot more respectful. We are more mature, myself and Dustin. We have come through a lot. We both are engaged in much philanthropic efforts. He is doing a great thing with the Good Fight Foundation. How can I not repsect Dustin.” 

Dustin Poirier has worked his way up the UFC ladder in a very short time ever since dropping a knockout loss to Conor McGregor. He has not only gone on to pick up notable wins over Anthony Pettis, Justin Gaethje and Eddie Alvarez, but also became the interim lightweight champion of the world.

Conor McGregor set to donate for The Good Fight Foundation

Additionally, he put up a Fight of the Year performance against Dan Hooker in his return fight against top lightweight contendor Dan Hooker. Outside of the UFC, Poirier has remained a concerned citizen, contributing a lot to the society through his social work.

“As I am getting older, I have so much admiration for coaches, leaders, and teachers. They dedicate their time to help train you and guide you. I have so much admiration for that.”

Dustin Poirier’s The Good Fight Foundation continues to help those in need. In the past, even Khabib Nurmagomedov donated his fight kit in respect for Poirier’s social work. The foundation aims at helping local community initiatives and has done a tremdendous job for the society. The Good Fight Foundation is a non-profit foundation that was registered in the year 2018.

Conor McGregor has vowed to donate money for The Good Fight Foundation and will look to help Dustin Poirier in this great cause.
