Conor McGregor has made a huge claim about the Khabib Nurmagomedov rematch after he stated that a rematch with the Russian fighter would be easier than fighting Dustin Poirier. The “Notorious” is set to take on the former interim champion Dustin Poirier in a rematch that will headline UFC’s first PPV event of the year at UFC 257.

“I will tell you what this is going to be an easy rematch for me this Sunday. But it won’t be my easiest rematch. When I get that rematch against Khabib, it will be an easy rematch and I guarantee this.”
McGregor in conversation with Aaron Bronster talked about the rematch and stated that while the rematch against Poirier is going to be an easy one for him, the hugely anticipated rematch against Nurmagomedov is going to be the easiest for the “Notorious.”
“If we want to continue running, that’s no problem. I will eliminate the rest of them.”

However, he added should Nurmagomedov stay retired, he will clear the entire lightweight division in pursuit of becoming the greatest mixed martial artist of all time. Currently, there’s no denying that Nurmagomedov stands as the greatest lightweight fighter of all time.
