Khabib Nurmagomedov interacted with the media after the conclusion of the Eagle Fighting Championship league in Moscow and talked about his future plans after possible retirement from MMA.
“I train for my own pleasure. This morning I did 45 minutes of cardio, lifted some weights for 30 minutes.”
“I can get fat. It’s not about that. You just feel better when you train on a regular basis. Just in case I got picked on somewhere in the street, you know. I can still fight back.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov announced his retirement from the sport late last year after his emphatic win over interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje to unify the lightweight championship at UFC 254. Since then, there has been speculation that Nurmagomedov will return to the Octagon to touch the coveted mark of 30-0 that his father late Abdulmanap Nurmagommedov envisioned for him.
There was a meeting between UFC President Dana White and Khabib Nurmagomedov in the lead-up to UFC 254. White revealed that Khabib will come back to the Octagon if someone surprises him at UFC 254. While Michael Chandler delivered one of the finest debuts, Dustin Poirier triumphed over Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 257.
