But it’s not true.
Apart from the similarity in their surnames, the only similar thing is their jersey number 30. However, both are basketball players one playing professionally in NBA while the other is in her sophomore year at NCAA. Thus, Jayda also considered Stephen as his idol and the reason for her choosing to play basketball.

Born and raised in Corona, California on May 2, Jayda Curry is a basketball player for the California Golden Bears in the NCAA Women’s Division. She is a sophomore-year student at the University of California, Berkeley. Jayda is of African-American descent.
Apart from this, while studying at Centennial high school for four years, she was quite an outstanding player and received many achievements. She got the Ms. Basketball State Player of the Year, MaxPreps California Player of the Year, 2020 Press Enterprise Player of the Year, and 2020 Riverside Player of the Year Award under her name. Along with this she also holds the record for scoring the highest points of 50 in a single game.
However, Jayda also led her high school for the first time toward the Southern California regional championship. Playing against the Mater Dei High School, Jayda scored 27 points and 11 rebounds. Thus, Jayda in the four years of the high school performed quite well by putting up huge scores, 2,190 points, 567 rebounds, 399 assists, and 375 steals in total.
