Atlanta Hawks managed 5th seed finish last season behind Trae Young’s brilliant performances. This season though has been difficult for them. They are unable to find baskets from 3 point line. So they have settled for more mid-range shots from their shooters.
Trae Young is the only Hawks player managing a 20+ point average this season. Another borderline superstar Bogdan Bogdanovic is putting up a poor show scoring-wise. John collins and former 6th man of the year Lou Williams need to put more effort this season to increase winning percentages.

Charlotte Hornets Season So far
The Hornets possess possibly the most balanced team in NBA this season. All the staters are pouring in 15+ points. Their rim protectors also managed to have satisfactory results in the paint. James Borrego – Hornet’s Head coach has distributed playing time equally among the players – shows his faith in the bench players also.
Former Celtic star Gordon Hayward has a fair bit of contribution to the team but Miles Bridges and LaMelo Ball are putting up huge performances at offensive and defensive ends of the floor. LaMelo is top in assists and steals for the Hornets. Bridges is not far behind with top in scoring and 3rd in rebounds-blocks for the Hornets.

Atlanta Hawks vs Charlotte Hornets Match Prediction
Trae Young had a heroic performance against the defending champions, Milwaukee Bucks, in a shocking victory for the Hawks. When Young is in red hot form, he really is impossible to stop. But that is the only positive sign for the Hawks. Charlotte has also managed to provide shocking results defeating The All NBA top seed Golden State Warriors this season.
Atlanta is the 10th team this season scoring 109 points this season while Charlotte is 2nd with 112.8 points this season. Charlotte and Atlanta have identical rebounding stats and their scoring margin is -.8 & -.5 respectively, but defensively Atlanta has managed to allow 4 fewer points than Charlotte.
It would be an intriguing matchup between individual brilliance and team performance. But with depth in the squad and consistent performances by players, the Hornets shall be able to grab victory in this fixture.
