Austin Reaves has been one of the biggest breakout stars in the NBA recently. He initially went undrafted but was later offered a two-way contract by the Los Angeles Lakers. They took a chance on him and now he is an important role player, arguably their best one. He joined the NBA in 2021 after playing in college for a few seasons. Chances are that his parents were his biggest inspirations.
He was born to Nicole Wilkett and Brian Reaves in Neward, Arkansas. His parents were top-notch athletes in college. They played for Arkansas State and were really good in their respective roles. Similarly, Austin’s brother, Spencer was also a great college basketball player who served his time at North Greenville and Central Missouri before going pro.
Austin Reaves studied at Cedar Ridge High School where he won two State titles. He also ended up meeting his beau in high school, Jenna Barber. The couple have been together for a long time now. They do not have any kids nor is there any evidence of it. But according to sources, Austin allegedly has two children with a woman named Joan Boocock. Jenna (2000) is two years younger than Austin (1998). She attended college at the University of Arkansas and sources say that she works at a Pharmaceutical company. Even though there isn’t much information available on the couple, a few gestures were shown just how much Jenna supports Reaves. After all, it is important to have supportive people around you.
Barber shared a collage of their images together on social media when they celebrated their one-year anniversary back in 2015. For a short while, they spent time apart as Austin played for the Wichita State Shockers and Oklahoma Sooners. They still kept things strong between each other somehow. Reaves continues to grow each day and he had definitely made everybody proud of him.
