Almost all NBA fans know who Bronny James and Bryce James are. They are both the sons of one of the greatest NBA players ever, LeBron James. Despite not having a father figure in his life, LeBron has proven to be an incredibly supportive and encouraging father. He has even made it clear that playing with his eldest son in the NBA would be a dream come true and something that he aspires to do.
Since the King is in Year 20, it makes sense that he would focus more on his elder son as opposed to his younger son who is 3 years younger than Bronny. However, fans should certainly want to know which son has more potential and chances of making it in the NBA. Since height is an important indicator of an athlete’s ceiling and potential, let us compare both Bryce and Bronny to see how they stack up.
Bryce James is significantly taller than Bronny James
Although the majority of focus from the basketball world is on Bronny, the fact remains that Bryce is displaying flashes of greatness and potential despite being only 15 years old. While Bronny is expected to attend college soon and then eventually apply for the NBA, Bryce still has a long way and must finish high school first.
At the moment, Bronny is listed somewhere between 6’2 and 6’3. While this is still a good height when compared to the average teenager, it is certainly not enough NBA scouts to be excited. Especially when some of the other NBA draft prospects like Victor Wembanyama are listed at 7’5.
Despite his own father being 6’9, Bronny appears to have been given the short end of the stick at the moment in terms of genetics. Nonetheless, he has been working hard on his game and could be considered an explosive point guard.
On the other hand, Bryce is only 15 years old but is listed as somewhere between 6’5 and 6’6. That gives him a clear-cut advantage over his elder brother and raises his overall ceiling as a basketball player. Moreover, Bryce is also more likely to grow even more when compared to Bronny who is already 18 years old.
Height alone isn’t enough to say that one player is better than the other for certain. However, there is no denying that Bryce has more of his father’s innate genetics when compared to his elder brother. Regardless, we hope both of them are able to make the NBA and make their father proud.
