NBA Matchup: Brooklyn Nets vs Charlotte Hornets
Date: 8th March 2022
Time: 7:00 pm ET
A detrimental game for the mid-tier teams, the Charlotte Hornets and the Brooklyn Nets will take each other on tonight. This game could determine who will be sweating more come playoff time.
These teams are sitting in the 8th and 9th spots currently but a push to the 6th seed will give these teams a guaranteed playoff position with nothing to worry about. These teams have played each other once before on the 24th of October 2021.
Who won the last time these two teams played?
These teams played for the first time right at the beginning of the season. It was the 3rd game of the season for the Hornets and the Nets so these teams look extremely different since they played last. The Brooklyn Nets lost that game and it all came due to big 4th quarter chokes.
The final score was 111-95 and the Nets had a double-digit lead which they essentially gave away. In the 4th quarter, the Nets scored just 17 points to the Hornets’ 32. The Hornets as a team led in every statistical category and completely demolished the Nets.
This game was not LaMelo‘s best who scored just 18 points and shot only 1/6 from the 3. Miles Bridges scored 32 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. For the Nets, KD scored 38 points on 70% shooting.
The weak link for the Nets last time out was James Harden who scored 15 points on 37.5% from the field and 25% from the 3.
Charlotte Hornets vs Brooklyn Nets prediction
To consider the last time they played as any indicator would be an unfair way to predict tonight’s contest. The teams are different, the forms their in are different and the way they have been playing is different. The only thing to mention is that the weakest link for the Nets will no longer be on the court for the game tonight.
The other thing to mention is that even though the Nets have been one of the worst teams in the last 20 games, have had KD return and scored 30+ points in both games. They have to turn their season around and the Hornets could be the best way to do it.
The Brooklyn Nets need to win against the Hornets and they are expected to win on the shoulders of Kevin Durant.
