The Denver Nuggets have established themselves as title contenders in the past few seasons. The main heroes behind the Nuggets’ success are their coach, Michael Malone, and their two frontrunners, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. The team suffered 9 first-round exits in their 10 playoff appearances from 2004 to 2013. Struggling to make it to the second round for a while, the Nuggets would disappear from the postseason picture for five straight seasons. During this tenure, the team acquired valuable assets for the team’s future.

In 2014, the Nuggets drafted Nikola Jokic, as a second-round 41st pick. The following year, Denver hired Michael Malone as their head coach, and the year after, the team drafted the 7th pick, Jamal Murray. Since then, the franchise took a couple of seasons to get used to the new system, after which they became a serious threat in the West. Returning to the playoff picture in 2019, the Nuggets would go as far as round 2 under Michael Malone.

The following season, Mike had his team enter the Conference Finals. Due to injuries, the next few seasons weren’t as great for the Nuggets. Under Mike Malone, the team’s course has shifted completely. Here we’ll look at Michael Malone’s net worth and salary.

How long will Michael Malone stay with the Nuggets?

Malone started his coaching career in 2003, as the Knicks’ assistant coach as well as a scout for the team. Mike continued his career as an assistant coach for the Cavaliers, New Orleans Hornets, and the Warriors before he was hired as a head coach for the Sacramento Kings in 2013. His first two seasons as a head coach weren’t as great, as the Kings would not make it to the postseason. Coaching for the Nuggets, Malone’s coaching was pretty noticeable to the fans as well as the critics.

He has coached the team for 8 seasons so far, achieving great feats. The Nuggets’ coach has an estimated salary of around $2 million. Malone had been named the coach of the month twice. He had also been a strong candidate for the Coach of the Year award in 2019. Having developed his career as a notable head coach, Malone’s net worth is estimated to be $8 million.

His reputation alone stands out as a unique one among all the coaches of the league. With two incredible players on his roster, Malone has managed to teach his squad how to play organized basketball. Mike will continue to coach the Nuggets until the 2024-25 season, as stated in his extension.
