The Phoenix Suns this season at one point were without their star players. DeAndre Ayton and Mikal Bridges, have kept the Suns and have pretty much done everything for the Suns. They are now 8th in a jam-packed Western Conference. However, with the return of Chris Paul, the Suns fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Devin Booker is most likely to come back for the Suns, as early as Tuesday, when the Suns face the Brooklyn Nets.
The Suns will be starting a 5-game road trip this Friday. They will be heading to Boston to face the Eastern Conference leaders, Boston Celtics. They will be facing serious challenges, and also face the Hawks who thrashed them today at home, 132-100. We can hope that Booker will be joining the Suns on this road trip and give a much-needed boost to the team. The West is heavily packed, and each game is crucial.
What injury did Devin Booker suffer?
The 26-year-old suffered a groin soreness on Christmas against the Denver Nuggets. He initially continued with the game but was soon sidelined after aggravating his injury. The Injury has kept him out for the Suns for almost 5 weeks now. In his absence, the team has massively struggled to get some momentum going. However, the news of his return might give the team a much-needed morale boost.

“Phoenix starts a five-game Eastern road trip. They have back-to-backs against Boston and Detroit on Friday and Saturday. They have a couple of days off before Brooklyn. This will be his 19th straight game out. He’s been out since Christmas Day when he re-aggravated that groin injury. But he’s increasing his workload, and I’m told that there’s optimism again as soon as Tuesday against Brooklyn.” said Wojnarowski.
The Suns are just managing to edge the Utah Jazz to hold on to the last playoff spots for now. However, they are equal to the Jazz, and even other teams can take away their spot. This season is extremely competitive and that has been a treat for the neutrals. The Suns are 26-26 this season and will be looking to gear up as they look to solidify their chances to make it to the playoffs.
