DJ Rodman recently decided to transfer to the University of South California. The name, Rodman, probably resonates with a lot of basketball fans across the world. DJ is indeed the son of Dennis Rodman, who is a multiple-time NBA Champion and a rebounding juggernaut. USC was blessed with another descendant of NBA royalty. He will begin his journey in the upcoming NCAA season.

DJ Rodman completed his graduation at Washington State University. Even though he completed his degree in communications and is past his time to compete in the NCAA, the tournament allows players an extra year of eligibility. This rule came into existence following the COVID-19 Pandemic as athletes missed almost an entire season of competition.

At WSU, Rodman averaged 9.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game during his last year. These numbers were a product of a much-improved version of himself. However, DJ will be joining Bronny James on the USC roster. Bronny is the son of LeBron James, another NBA all-time great. Both individuals have tendencies of being explosive at times. They will have a couple of tricks up their sleeves knowing how involved their parents are in their careers.
Is DJ Rodman a better scorer than Bronny James?
DJ Rodman is listed as a 6 ft 6-inch forward who sometimes plays the guard position as well. He weighs nearly 210 lbs which is slightly on the heavier side for someone his size. His vertical leap and wingspan have not been officially listed, however, Rodman is a proven defender and a great scorer in transition as well.
These are a few similarities that he shares with Bronny James. However, James is three inches shorter than Rodman. The latter can easily play in two positions depending on the team’s requirements. And James can only play as a guard or be the focal point on the roster. Bronny is a very good scorer of the basketball. According to USA Today, he averaged 13.8 points during his senior year in high school.
In 111 games played in college, DJ has only averaged 5.5 points per game overall. However, Rodman put up 9.6 points during his final year at Washington State. DJ is also a great crunch-time shooter as well. He possesses the ability to shoot consistently from beyond the arc. But Bronny’s game is a little different as he likes things to be a bit more physical within the paint at times. James could be placed as a center point while Rodman set back screens.
