Donte DiVincenzo has been a very good role player for the Golden State Warriors. Even though the team went through a tough battle during the 2023 playoffs, the guard showed potential that he can be an integral piece on the roster. Despite having limited time on the floor, he proved himself as a great defender and backup scorer. He has always been very consistent over the years as well.
Before signing with the Warriors, the fifth-year point guard was a huge part of the Milwaukee Bucks team. He averaged 10.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game during the 2020-21 season. Donte was allowed to start for all 66 games he played that season and the Bucks ended up winning a title as well. However, in the next two years, he was put into various trade scenarios, eventually making his way to the Sacramento Kings.
The former Champion played less than half a season with the Kings and then entered free agency that summer. The Golden State Warriors decided to add him to the roster and give themselves a defensive boost at the guard position. They signed him to a two-year deal and he averaged 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists, arguably one of his best seasons. Now let’s get to know him a little better.
Donte DiVincenzo is from Newark, Delaware

He was born on January 31, 1997, and growing up, his interests weren’t always in basketball. Donte was a very good soccer player when he was a child. But after realizing that he was way more successful in basketball, he stuck to it. He attended Salesianum School and proved just how good he was on the floor. Donte was a leader and helped his high school team win two State titles.
The Warriors generally acquire players with high IQs and great scoring efficiency. They had to have seen potential in Donte before acquiring him in a $9.3 million deal. Before joining the NBA, DiVincenzo played for Villanova. He was very good on both sides of the court and provided himself to the team according to their requirements. DiVincenzo put up 13.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists along with 1.1 steals.
